ABOUT THE SECOND AHCP RESIDENT

Nane Davtyan was selected to be the second annual AHCP artist-in-residence (2024). Davtyan works in various media: video art, analog photography, painting, different graphic techniques and their synthesis, digital painting, and more.
She studied at the Henrik Igityan School of Fine Arts—initially in the studios of Samvel and Manvel, and later in the studio of Vahagn Baghdasaryan. She continued her education at the Panos Terlemezyan State College of Fine Arts. In addition to her artistic practice, Davtyan also engageds in theoretical work, often combining it with artistic creation. Currently she is an MA student in art history at the Academy.
The annual AHCP artist residency program in NYC and EVN was established in 2023 by Tamar Hovsepian, the co-founder of the practice.
