O ur Story
Atamian Hovsepian Curatorial Practice was established in 2022 with a focus on contemporary, experimental, and conceptual art. The mission of the practice is to represent extraordinary contemporary art created by underrepresented voices including, but not limited to, women, LGBTQ+ and artists of color.
Projects in development for the 2022-2023 season include Art to Learn, Art to Live, Contemporary Art from Lebanon at LAU NY, an exhibition at a leading Boston area cultural institution, and several solo and group exhibitions in New York City.
The practice is based in NYC with a network of artists from around the world.
O ur Curators
Christopher Atamian
Christopher Atamian is a noted critic and multiplatform storyteller who has written for leading publications, including The New York Times, The Huffington Post, The New York Press, and Hyperallergic. Christopher has curated both art and film, including 12 exhibitions for the non-profit Nor Alik. He has written or translated six books and edited art catalogues and books for curators such as Adelina von Furstenberg and the late Neery Melkonian. Atamian was awarded a 2015 Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
